NPPD Nuclear Refueling STEM Lab In-Person

What happens when a nuclear reactor breaks down? You go to the Library to fix it!

Youth going into 5th grade and up can test their problem solving and engineering prowess with this hands-on lab. 

Mr. Jonathan from NPPD will set the stage for students use teamwork to repair a broken nuclear reactor fuel assembly. In addition to solving this hands-on problem, Mr. Jonathan will give participants a chance to dive into a nuclear reactor with his VR headsets. 

Spots are limited and registration is required. Registration starts May 22. Youth do not need a library card to participate.
