Writing for Wellness In-Person
Writing for Wellness serves many purposes. It is writing that heals and writing that gives voice to our hidden heads, trauma, and victimization. Writing for Wellness is writing from the heart and gut; an ability to knock that crow off our shoulder and conquer the shadows we carry. It is essential for maintaining our well-being and is a proactive-approach for first responders, medical practitioners, high-performers, and anyone interested in the greater good. Writing for Wellness transforms lives and helps us reckon with our past and future selves.
With the release of Coming to a Neighborhood Near You, author Jim Reese will be speaking about Writing for Wellness, specifically how it is important for victims, secondary victims, families, and
communities to speak and write about the repercussions of crime. It is vital to raise awareness
about intimate partner violence, trauma, addiction, and the importance of rehabilitation, victim
offender reconciliation, and education behind bars.
